"I'd been taught to believe in the efficacy and practice of Western medicine; however, this 'miracle' turned upside down my sense of what was possible in healing. I vowed that I would take Reiki training and find out for myself if Reiki really could heal. "Two years later, I met Charlotte Kasl, Phd, LP, a Quaker and Reiki Master-Teacher, who gave me Reiki training--Levels 1 & 2. I began to use Reiki in my Post-Trauma Healing work with clients, and, more recently, in Life-In-Motion Coaching. Reiki has proved effective beyond my wildest imagination. "Reiki became integral to my life; it reversed severe allergic reactions, calmed, energized, and helped me through many a sleepless night and situation, including the dying and death of my mother and loss of my life partner. I daily "send" Reiki to family and friends. "I focused on the relationship between counseling psychology and holistic healing--including Reiki--during my M.A. in Human Development studies (St. Mary's University 1992). "In 1995, I received Tibetan-Usui Advanced & Teacher Reiki Training from William L. Rand, at the International Center for Reiki Training, and later, Usui Japanese Techniques Training from Frank Arjava Petter. I've since provided Reiki training to hundreds of individuals, families, and healing professionals. Never a day passes without Reiki! It's as close as one's own hands!" |
